Project P507749 — Pacific Region Preparedness, Adaptation and Resilience - Samoa Project · Method: Request for Quotations · Goods · SPECIFIC PROCUREMENT NOTICE PROCUREMENT OF GOODS SAMOA PACFIC REGION PREPAREDNESS, ADAPTATION AND RESILIENCE (PREPARE) Loan No./ Credit No. IDA 7990-WS / Grant No.: IDA E636-WS Contract Title: Supply and install six (6) new land- based Automatic Weather System (AWS) Reference No : WS-MNRE-534856-GO-RFQ The Independent State of Samoa has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the PREPARE , and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Supply and install 6 new land-based AWS. This contract will be jointly financed by Systematic Observations Financing Facility (SOFF). Bidding process will be governed by the World Bank and the Government of Samoa’s rules and procedures. The Ministry of Natural, Resources and Environment (MNRE) now invite sealed bids from eligible bidders for the goods and service required. Goods Description Quantities Location Delivery Timing Other Necessary Information Supply, installation, commissioning, and support of up to six (6) internationally compliant Automatic Weather Stations (AWS), including sensors, data loggers, power supply systems, communications infrastructure, meteorological enclosures, necessary civil works, training, documentation, maintenance and warranty. Up to six (6) Automatic Weather Stations (AWS), including all necessary sensors, data loggers, power supply systems and associated infrastructure Samoa – Upolu and Savai ‘i, at locations identified and confirmed by the Government of Samoa/Samoa Meteorology Division. Site suitability must comply with WMO-No. 8 Annex 1.D siting classifications. The successful bidder shall undertake the inception, site assessment, civil works, supply, installation, training and commissioning activities in accordance with the agreed work plan and implementation schedule. Specific commencement and completion dates will be confirmed by the Government of Samoa. The bidder must have proven experience in the supply, installation and commissioning of hydrometeorological AWS and demonstrate at least three internationally recognised successful AWS projects.
